Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main purpose by reminding the businessman of the plane journey, requesting a management-related role, and giving relevant qualifications and experience. The reference to meeting “two weeks” ago is useful, but “We sit next to each other” does not clearly identify the journey or where you met. Your job request—“chief head of the management roles”—is difficult to understand, and the reasons for your suitability are listed rather than explained. Clarify the specific position you want and connect your business qualifications, hotel experience, and marketing courses to its requirements. The response is also six words below the required minimum, so add a little relevant detail, such as your responsibilities at the hotel or the skills you gained there.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it recalls the meeting, describes the job sought, gives qualifications, and closes with a request for a response. This makes the overall purpose understandable. However, the ideas are presented in short, separate statements, and the progression between them is sometimes abrupt. For example, “We talked about the business and jobs” is followed by the business-card detail without a clear link to the current application. Paragraphing would help distinguish the reminder, job request, and evidence of suitability. Use linking phrases to show how your experience supports the role, and make references such as “we” and “your one of the franchise restaurant” clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to employment and business, including “qualifications,” “experience,” “marketing courses,” and “career growth.” These choices help communicate the general topic. However, several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural and make the intended role unclear, particularly “chief head of the management roles” and “one of the franchise restaurant.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “cheif,” “maketing,” and “MBBA,” which reduce precision. Aim for straightforward, accurate job-related language rather than combining several titles. For instance, name a specific role such as restaurant manager and describe your relevant management experience using familiar, correctly spelled terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response mainly uses simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to give reasons and describe experience. Meaning is generally recoverable, but frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation affect accuracy. Examples include “It has been two weeks since we have seen each other,” “We sit next to each other,” and “you give me business card”; these need appropriate past-tense forms and articles. The sentence beginning “My qualifications … and experience is” also has a subject–verb agreement problem. Several sentences run together because spaces after full stops are missing. Practise accurate past-tense narration for the meeting and use complete, well-punctuated sentences when explaining your qualifications and suitability.
