Dear Gurkirat,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter regarding possible job poisition in your Mounteverest Restaurant. In last Saturday, I met with you in our plane journey from Vancouver to Calgary. while our conversation you suggested me multiple job positions in your Restaurant. Moreover, I can work as a full time worker and It would be great to me, if I get a server job position. Because I already have server experience in Monty cafe. In addition, I am avalible from November 1 and I can work on Monday to Friday. In tandem with this, it would be great if you let me know about interview schedule and procedure. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you remind Gurkirat that you met on the Vancouver–Calgary flight, request a server position, and give relevant reasons, including your experience at Monty Cafe and your availability. The purpose is clear and the tone is generally appropriate. However, some details are less fully developed: “server experience” would be more persuasive if you briefly described a relevant skill or responsibility, and “I will never disappoint you” is a broad assurance rather than evidence of suitability. The response is also six words below the required minimum, so add a little relevant detail—for example, what you learned in your previous role and how it would help in his restaurant.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a sensible overall order: it opens with the reason for writing, recalls the meeting, states the job sought, and closes with a request for next steps. This makes the message easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, however. “Moreover,” “In addition,” “In tandem with this,” and “Lastly” are used in quick succession, even where a simple transition or a new paragraph would work better. The sentence beginning “Because I already have server experience” is separated from the idea it explains, and the letter is presented as one block. Group the meeting and job request together, then put your qualifications and availability in a second paragraph to make the progression clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “server job position,” “full time,” “interview schedule,” and “job duties.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “regarding” and “prompt response.” However, several word choices and spelling errors reduce naturalness: “job poisition,” “avalible,” and “Best regard” are inaccurate, while “In tandem with this” sounds unnatural in this context. “Multiple job positions” is also vague when you are asking for one specific role. Choose direct, precise expressions and check spelling carefully; this would make the letter sound more fluent and professional without needing unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The letter includes a mix of simple statements and attempts at longer structures, and the intended meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in sentence construction and articles or prepositions. For example, “In last Saturday” should be “Last Saturday,” and “while our conversation” needs a structure such as “During our conversation.” The sentence “Because I already have server experience in Monty cafe” is a fragment; connect it to the preceding sentence or make it complete. Capitalisation after a full stop is also inconsistent in “while.” Aim to produce a few accurate complex sentences, while checking that each sentence has a complete clause and that time expressions are formed correctly.
