Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the three requested points: you identify the flight from Delhi to Vancouver, express interest in a restaurant role, and give relevant experience and training reasons. However, the meeting reminder is brief, and “back staff” is not explained, so the employer may not know which duties you mean. Your suitability is supported by a hospitality degree and one year of restaurant work, but the examples could be developed more clearly. The response also falls six words short of the required minimum, so add a little detail—for example, the specific back-of-house role you want and one task you handled successfully. This would make the purpose and your case more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally coherent order: it opens with the reason for writing, moves to the job you want, explains your suitability, and ends with a request for a reply. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. Some connections are less smooth, however. The opening combines the meeting and job discussion in a way that feels compressed, while “I thought I could be become suitable” interrupts the flow of the suitability paragraph. The closing is also very brief. Use clearer transitions and keep each paragraph focused—for instance, give the flight details first, then state the role, followed by a separate explanation of your experience.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “hospitality,” “team member,” “experience,” and “fast paced environment,” so the reader can understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make the letter less polished: “infrom,” “interesed,” “cutomer,” and “suation.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “back staff” and “hand the situation.” Choose standard restaurant terminology and check spelling carefully. More precise wording for your preferred duties and the customer situations you handled would show a broader, more controlled vocabulary while keeping the letter professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence that links your experience to why you would be easy to train. However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make the wording difficult to follow. For example, “I have met with you recently in our last flight” has an unclear tense and preposition pattern, and “I thought I could be become suitable” contains an incorrect verb form. Articles and sentence construction also need attention in “for role of back staff” and “I have experience how to manage.” Practise building accurate sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check verb forms, articles, and prepositions before submitting the letter.
