Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You make a relevant attempt to cover the three requested points: you identify the flight from Houston to New York, express interest in a restaurant-management role, and mention five years of experience as a manager. However, some details are unclear or incomplete. “I’m also looking for job” does not specify the role as directly as it could, and the claim that your experience matches the requirement is not supported with concrete skills or achievements. The meeting reminder also needs clearer wording so the businessman can readily recall the journey. Develop your suitability with one or two relevant examples, such as managing staff or handling restaurant operations, and make the job request explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has a basic structure, with an opening, two body paragraphs and a closing, and the reader can identify its general purpose. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first paragraph moves from the meeting to praise, while the second repeats praise and shifts between the job request, your experience and the businessman’s business. Phrases such as “The purpose of this letter” and “I want to mentioned you” do not connect the ideas smoothly. Use one paragraph to recall the meeting and state the role you want, then another to explain your relevant experience and suitability. Clearer links between these points would make the letter easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “manager,” “restaurant,” “experience” and “business ownership,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to interpret, such as “remaind,” “Porpose,” “bussines” and “exprieance.” Some expressions are also unnatural for a formal job enquiry: “radiant health and the best of spirits” and “your learning attitude” do not sound idiomatic in this context. Choose familiar, accurate professional language and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for your responsibilities and skills would also help explain why you are suitable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “we met on plane going Hoston to New york and I'm next to your seat” has problems with articles, tense and sentence structure; “I have 5 Years of exprieance” also needs more accurate capitalization and phrasing. The closing sentence, “I hope this letter find you well for my consideration,” does not form a clear grammatical message. Practise accurate past-tense descriptions of the meeting and straightforward present-tense statements about the job you want. Check subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation before sending.
