Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world the population are increasing day by day and there is huge demand of new homes. As population increases new homes are needed but the space is available fo building new homes is in the countryside. But Some people believe that newhomes are not build in the countryside because we have to protect the countryside land.
As per demand we are needed new homes but we can't find any space inside the country so we have to build the new homes in the coutryside just like out of towns, cities, and industrial areas. Because already we saw that we are facing many problems in cities, towns like pollution, health issue and if we make more new buildings then this cause will increase day by day and people can't live healthy life. Already we see lots of traffic in the cities, towns even in industrial areas we see tarrific traffic on the roads because of loading and unloading of trucks.
But some people are thinking that it is important to protect countryside land and we will not make new homes there. Because countrysides ands are useful for farmers to cultivatation of vegetables and all and trees are giving fresh air and atmosphere is too good so it will maintain the good health as well as cultivation of crops. And countryside lands are featuring open spaces and natural landscapes. So when people will come from cities to countryside for roaming so they will take fresh air from that area.
As per my opinion as the population increases don't build new homes in country side try to accomodate in cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear final preference for accommodating new homes in cities, and you discuss both the need for housing and reasons to protect rural land, including farming, trees, fresh air and open landscapes. However, the position is not consistent: the opening says homes must be built in the countryside, while the conclusion says they should not be. This makes your opinion difficult to follow. Several points are also asserted rather than explained—for example, you mention city traffic and pollution but do not show how building in the countryside would address these problems or how cities could accommodate more residents. State your view clearly from the introduction and develop a few relevant reasons with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has separate paragraphs for the housing issue, arguments about development and the value of countryside, followed by a conclusion. This gives it some organisation, and phrases such as “But” and “As per my opinion” signal relationships between ideas. However, the overall progression is weakened by the contradiction between the second paragraph, which supports building outside towns and cities, and the conclusion, which favours city accommodation. Several sentences begin with “Because” or “And,” and repeated transitions such as “As” and “But” make the links feel mechanical. Group each paragraph around one clear point, use pronouns or linking phrases to connect related sentences, and ensure the conclusion follows the position established at the start.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “population,” “pollution,” “cultivation of crops,” “natural landscapes” and “open spaces,” so the reader can understand the main subject. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “new homes,” “countryside” and “cities, towns.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “the population are increasing,” “countryside lands,” “tarrific traffic” and “roaming.” Spelling errors such as “coutryside,” “accomodate” and “cultivatation” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for housing and land use, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional idea in “if we make more new buildings then this cause will increase day by day.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “the population are increasing,” “the space is available fo building,” and “we are needed new homes”; these show problems with agreement, sentence construction and verb forms. The sentence beginning “Because already we saw” is also incomplete as written. Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles and verb patterns. Shorter, accurate sentences would help make your reasoning clearer before you add more complex structures.
