Student answer (Band 6.5)
Due to urbanization the expuanction of cities has become one of the major issue for the countryside development. Many people believe that due to urbanization the needs of house in the cities have been increased rapidly but there is not enough space to build them. Some people believe that due to expansution of cities, construction has now reached to countryside, and it creates nagetive impact. In my opinion, construction of new house in countryside should be a posetive trend.
First and foremost, due to the urbanization the population from countryside has sifted in cities. Due to this there is a shortage of house arise in cities. Second major reason of less space in city center is big shopping centers. Construction of shopping centers in heart of the city is to provide convenience for the local community, but it requires large space. For example, ' XYZ Mall' is one of the biggest shopping centers in India, which is located in center of Delhi. Due to the construction of this mall many people have to migrate to countryside.
Furthermore, in this growing world development has become an important part of economy. Government has started investing more in development of countryside because to develop a stroong economic growth. For instance, government of India has introduced a new housing scheme for the development of outer areas of city, which has given a notable boost to the economy.
In conclusion, urbanization is one of the major reasons for the lack of homes in core of city. This issue can be tackled by building a new house in countryside. The major issue of new house construction the damage cause to environment, due to the construction process. In my opinion construction of new houses is necassery for economic development. Government should introduce some laws for the protection of environment in countryside, while construction of new dwelling.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that building in the countryside is a positive trend. The ideas are relevant, such as the need for housing due to urban migration and economic development. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument about shopping centers causing migration is a bit tenuous and could be better explained. While the main points are clear, the conclusion introduces a new point about environmental damage that was not fully explored in the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is fully supported with more detailed reasoning and that the conclusion remains a summary of the points already discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. The use of cohesive devices like 'First and foremost', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' helps guide the reader through the argument. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by repetitive phrasing and some mechanical transitions. For example, the repeated use of 'due to' at the start of sentences makes the writing feel a bit formulaic. The referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the ideas in the second paragraph could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their opinion clearly. There are several spelling errors, such as 'expuanction' (expansion), 'expansution' (expansion), 'nagetive' (negative), 'posetive' (positive), 'sifted' (shifted), 'stroong' (strong), and 'necassery' (necessary). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the message. To improve, the student should focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic terms and attempt to use a wider variety of synonyms to avoid repeating words like 'construction' and 'development' so frequently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'the needs of house', 'in heart of the city') and pluralization (e.g., 'major issue' instead of 'major issues'). Subject-verb agreement is also inconsistent, such as 'shortage of house arise'. While these errors are frequent, they rarely impede communication. The student demonstrates an attempt at complex structures, but these often contain minor errors. Focusing on proofreading for basic article usage and subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
