Student answer (Band 6.5)
Due to increase in population, there is a growing demand for housing infrastructure particularly in Urban areas. Although due to space constraints in cities, more houses are built on the contryside. While some people believes this to be a negative development because they want to protect the countryside from urban chaos while others look this step in a positive way. In my view, I agree with the statement as I feel rural land should be protected from pollution.
The main reason to not allow the homes to be built on countryside is the pollution. Firstly, large amount of land is needed to construct houses which can be fulfilled only by cutting down trees and forest. Due to this air quality in the environement becomes poor and which also faint the beauty of town. This increases the air pollution and the local community has to suffer in order to satisfy the urban needs. Building more homes means, more people are migrated to rural side which results in a traffic congestion and create noise pollution.
Secondly, countryside is also the inhabitant for many animals which damages their natural living space and possibilty that animals may extinct. Furthermore building homes on countryside reduces the tourism which people come to enjoy the natural beauty and to spent some quality time out of busy life.
To conclude, housinng development in rural areas can destroy the natural beauty which makes rural area popular. Thus this step should be effect more in a negative than its benefits .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing against building homes in the countryside. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention pollution and habitat loss, the arguments could be extended with more specific examples or deeper analysis to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation of the consequences, perhaps by discussing the long-term impact on rural communities or the economy, rather than just listing general negative effects.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas is slightly abrupt, such as the transition between the discussion of air quality and traffic congestion. To improve, try to use a wider range of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'this step', 'this') clearly points back to the intended antecedent to improve the overall flow of your arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, such as 'infrastructure', 'space constraints', and 'traffic congestion'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'faint the beauty' (should be 'mar' or 'diminish'), 'inhabitant for many animals' (should be 'habitat for many animals'), and 'animals may extinct' (should be 'become extinct'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using more precise terminology related to environmental and urban planning topics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'some people believes' (subject-verb agreement), 'more people are migrated' (incorrect passive voice), and 'this step should be effect' (incorrect word form). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some missing articles and awkward phrasing that affect the clarity of certain sentences. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive versus active voice. Proofreading for common errors like these will help you achieve a higher level of accuracy.
