Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of protecting the countryside. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of the arguments provided. While the ideas regarding environmental protection and cultural preservation are relevant, they are under-developed and rely on vague examples, such as the mention of a specific village without sufficient context. To improve, you must expand your supporting points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a full development of your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To embark with' and 'in forthcoming paragraphs'. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs feels abrupt. While there is a logical progression of ideas, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional confusion in sentence flow mean that the cohesion is not always effective. Improving the variety and accuracy of your transition signals will help your writing flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms and struggle with collocations, such as 'give strong our Earth's eco system' and 'best for known from their own difrent culture activites'. There are also several spelling errors (e.g., 'tress', 'disapaire', 'skyscrapreers', 'clearifiaction') that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban planning and environmental conservation, and practice using these words in correct grammatical contexts to improve precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('rural area are give'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often faulty, which can make the meaning unclear. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement. Once you have a solid foundation, you can work on integrating more complex structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences with greater accuracy.
