Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's world the topic of 'Whether it is important to protect the countryside and not build new home there or not' has become increasingly important and has attracted considerable public attention. While some people believe that it is important to protect the rural areas. Others hold the opposite opinion. Both the viewpoints have their own merits. This essay will discuss supporting arguments before explaining the reason why I believe that.
Moreover, one of the main reason supporting the viewpoint is that countryside is the place where villagers are living from many years due to which this place hold heritage and memories of their past generation. Furthermore, people living in rural area can not afford flats in the building. For example, people living in rural areas are small farmers and vendor with low income who can be unemployed due to building new homes or societies. This example illustrates that it can have the significant impact on the individuals and society. As a result many people consider this approach to be beneficial and practical.
On the other hand, there are strong arguments in favour of opposite view. Some people argue that by building new accommodation there will be good infrastructure and better facilities for water and electricity. For instance, the population in cities is increasing there are lack of affordable homes which enhance inflation in the economy. Therefore, this perspective can be taken into consideration before reaching to the final conclusion.
In conclusion, both sides of the arguments have valid points. I believe that by manufacturing new houses many people will lost their jobs and businesses because its benefits outweigh drawbacks. If this approach is adopted than it will provide positive results for the individuals and society in the long run.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you present arguments for both sides, your personal position is somewhat contradictory. In the introduction, you state you will explain your view, but the conclusion states that 'its benefits outweigh drawbacks' while simultaneously arguing that building houses will cause job losses. This lack of clarity regarding your stance affects the overall task response. To improve, ensure your position is clearly stated and consistently maintained throughout the essay. Some points, such as the claim that building homes causes inflation, are mentioned but not fully explained or supported with logical reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition into the second paragraph. Additionally, some sentences lack clear logical flow, particularly in the conclusion where the connection between the arguments and your final stance is confusing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help elevate your score in this area.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'infrastructure', 'inflation', and 'heritage'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'manufacturing new houses' (instead of 'constructing' or 'building') and 'villagers are living from many years' (should be 'have lived for many years'). To achieve a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated synonyms for common words will also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('one of the main reason', 'people... is increasing') and article usage. You also have issues with verb tenses, such as 'many people will lost their jobs' (should be 'will lose'). These errors occur throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your verb forms are consistent. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help you reach a higher band.
