Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, in many places new developments are needed. While, there is no more space available for the new building them in countryside. However, few people believe that it is more important to protect the countryside areas. I completely agree with this opinion that it is important to protect the countryside rather than making building.
The first reason why I agree is that to protect trees and also there are many local people lives in countryside. For example, the farmers mostly live in countryside and most of vegetables and mike is produce they are most important art of everyone life. Therefore, the is a huge effect by them when they sell their products to big company they can earn good amount of money as well.
Another important reason is that tress are mainly have been seen in countryside area only and by the research 80 percent of world's oxygen produce by trees only so the most important part in our life is trees by them only we can get a fresh air. Moreover, many people believe that to live in countryside with their family is best rather than living in city area. As a result, many countryside area has been grown up and also they make good vegetables, rice and also grow more and more trees.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that to protect the countryside is the best way to protect the world. Because, countryside area gives us so much things like fruits, vegetables, seeds and also healthy milk which is good for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of protecting the countryside. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the importance of trees and farming, the arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about oxygen production is a strong idea, but it is not fully explored in the context of the housing dilemma. To improve, ensure that each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-supported argument that directly addresses the tension between the need for housing and the necessity of environmental preservation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'While, there is no more space...' and the repetitive use of 'also' and 'and'. The progression of ideas within paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult to follow the logical flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several instances of incorrect word choice, such as 'mike is produce' (milk is produced) and 'art of everyone life' (part of everyone's life). Additionally, the repetition of basic words like 'countryside', 'important', and 'trees' limits the sophistication of your expression. To improve, focus on learning collocations and synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing and ensure your word choices are contextually accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('many local people lives'), incorrect verb forms ('is produce'), and punctuation errors. The sentence structure is often fragmented, particularly in the introduction. To reach a higher band, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct verb tense usage, before attempting more complex structures.
