Student answer (Band 6.0)
Most of the metropolitian areas are crowded by people which is leading to create accommodation more and more and people think constructing homes can destroy countryside beauty. I believe it would directly leads to land deterioration and return migration.
To commence with, nowadays cosmopolitans are really facing housing crisis due to the increasing population which is directly forcing authorities to construct houses in order to meet the need of houses. As individuals are migrating into the cities to seek better job opportunities or career options that enforce authorities to build houses out of urban areas. which is going to ruin the natural beauty of rural areas and it will also put direct impact on the land that rural areas do have a limited ground which will be crowded if authorities would build houses in countryside.
However, instead of moving towards rural communities governments can construct vertical building which will sort the problem of acquiring acres land and it will also help people to settle with ease in the urban areas. As job seekers want to settle nearby the workplaces so they would not be satisfied with return migration. By constructing skyscrapers they can also provide a solution to the problem of housing crisis and acquiring land for homes.
I believe it will put government at ease by accommodating people in the urban areas instead of creating homes in countryside which will also help to avoid land deterioration, So authorities should pay attention to accommodate people in their place where they satisfy

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion against building in the countryside and suggesting an alternative (vertical building). However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While the argument regarding the housing crisis is relevant, the explanation of 'return migration' is unclear and not fully connected to the main argument. The essay touches on the key issues, but the reasoning could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The position is consistent throughout, but the supporting arguments lack specific examples or more nuanced analysis of the trade-offs involved.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'However', and 'Instead of'. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the abrupt start of the second paragraph with 'which is going to ruin'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the overall progression of ideas is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the final paragraph where the conclusion restates points already made without adding depth.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'metropolitian areas are crowded by people' (should be 'crowded with') and 'acquiring acres land' (should be 'acquiring acres of land'). The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'cosmopolitans' and 'deterioration', but these are not always used in the most natural way. To improve, the student should focus on more accurate collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to express complex ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'it would directly leads to' (subject-verb agreement error), 'that enforce authorities' (incorrect relative clause usage), and 'pay attention to accommodate people in their place where they satisfy' (awkward phrasing and incomplete thought). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentence fragments and missing commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
