Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this contemporary world, Housing becomes an essential part of everyone's life. some people believe that new homes are required, However, only in a space which is outside of the city, Whereas other claimed that countryside should be proacted since it is more crucial and countryside would be saved by not launching new home skims. Hence, this essay will explain both the views along with my opinion which will include some examples and relevant justifications in the forthcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, due to increasing population within unban area, people are asking for more homes as it will allow them to reside in larger homes and healthier environment for their young families. Eventually, it improves the quality of the life and enhance the options to choose between various homes. In addition, new development of the homes in countryside enable pre-development because housing is the fundamental needs of the growing population and economic growth will eventually amplifying as building some new houses involves a plenty of the jobs such as construction people, engenniers to create the plan for the building and so on.
On the other hand, developing homes in the rural area could destroy the natural habitats, reduces biodiversity ,and increases carbon footprints through deforestation. Thus, it environmental preservation becomes major difficulty if new housing are made in the countryside. Moreover, space of the agriculture activities are decreasing which is main motive of rural area to produce food for the individuals. Consequently, with developing more houses in the countryside, it lead to a shortage of the grains and vegetables at country level.
In my prospective, rural places should be not only saved for the food production but also for nature. Nevertheless, for solving the concern related to housing, people should give their more attention on building taller and multi-story apartments rather than spreading towards rural area.
In conclusion, developing new home sits enable residents to live quality of the life in larger house as well as options about where to live among various homes. Apart from this, jobs are created by building new home will beneficial for the financial growth. Although having benefits of building new homes, it contains some threats for rural places in terms of natural habitats and farmers. Also, as per my view, building the multi-story apartments and taller buildings are more encouraged instead of spreading it into rural area.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt, providing arguments for both sides and a clear personal opinion. The position is consistent throughout the response. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding economic growth through construction is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points and reiterates the author's stance. To reach a higher band, the student should aim to provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support their claims, rather than listing multiple points briefly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand,' 'In addition,' and 'Consequently' are used to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Hence, this essay will explain both the views along with my opinion.' The referencing is generally clear, but the overall progression of ideas could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the structure follows a standard academic format, which helps the reader follow the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the student to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary,' 'biodiversity,' and 'deforestation.' However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'home skims' (likely meant 'schemes'), 'unban area' (urban), and 'proacted' (protected). These errors do not impede communication, but they do highlight a limitation in lexical precision. Expanding the range of collocations and ensuring accurate spelling would significantly improve the score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('housing are made,' 'it lead to'), article usage ('the quality of the life'), and word forms ('economic growth will eventually amplifying'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors throughout. The student demonstrates an attempt at complex structures, but the frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be highly beneficial.
