Student answer (Band 6.0)

As in growing population many people believe that they can built the new house as they wanted their dream house while other people thinks countryside needed to be protected not to make any property in that area. As in my point of view I go with other people statement not to build any new property there.

To begin with, I would like to say that countryside needed to be protected as to built some something new they have to cut the tress which later with time changes this problem to deforestation. For example cutting to much tress for land piece effect's the climate of that particular area later on. Secondly, disturbing the wildlife area of animals will surely affect badly to country such as they started moving to urban area as they have no space to live.

Nevertheless, the Air quality will also be affect if they start using the countryside area for more development. For instance, tress which prove oxygen will be in less amount so there is less oxygen in air to breath. People who suffering from lungs problem affect the most a per normal person.

Furthermore, people have only one option left to built their dream house is to reconstruct the old one which a great step towards overall country development also they can move towards Appartment's which will be the best option to make multiple dream houses while occupying less space in country .

To conclude, I would like to say that better to use the area in a good and smart way which have less drawbacks in returns.

Try not to destroy any nature provided thing which gives some essential things for us to live like oxygen.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against building in the countryside. The ideas are relevant, focusing on deforestation, wildlife displacement, and air quality. However, the development is somewhat limited. While the points are introduced, they lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the mention of 'reconstructing old houses' is a good alternative, but it is not fully explored. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations or concrete real-world scenarios, ensuring that the connection between the problem and your proposed solution is more robustly established throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Nevertheless', and 'Furthermore'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of cohesive devices is occasionally repetitive or slightly unnatural. For example, the transition 'As in my point of view' is awkward. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection to the previous argument is weak. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the reader to understand your position. However, there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'built' instead of 'build', 'tress' instead of 'trees', and 'Appartment's' instead of 'apartments'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and relies on basic terms. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure correct spelling of common words. Expanding your range to include more topic-specific collocations would also help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'countryside needed to be protected', 'people thinks') and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they can built'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of apostrophes in 'Appartment's'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common grammatical slips before finalizing your writing.
