Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many places, I see that adults are going to leave big cities and live in the countryside areas. So, here I will give you some reasons and also I would give my opinion to protect my answer.

Firstly, people are getting more modern and also some gen's are getting in the big cities and do parties and make noise pollution and throw garbage on the road and people are fighting between them and sometime it could kill on the place where they are standing.

Secondly, adults want peace full life in their age and in big cities it would not possible to live peace fully because there no such beautiful natural of trees, plants, etc. So, many adults want to leave big cities and make house on countryside areas. For instances, I see that from my cousin grandfather fand his wife are shifted toward countryside area because of in big cities there are so much big building are there and also there people are smoking weed and some drug so that's why they come to countryside areas and build their house.

Furthermore, government should take action on people who are using gun in open area of street.

In conclusion, in my opinion adults and some people want to build their homes on the countryside government should gave permission to build because big building you can make in cities because they want peacefull rest of life they live.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the topic of building homes in the countryside, the arguments are underdeveloped and rely on anecdotal evidence rather than a balanced discussion of the issue. The position is somewhat clear, but the reasoning is simplistic and lacks the depth required for a higher band. To improve, you must expand on your points with more logical analysis and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for full development of your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often mechanical and sometimes confusing. While you use basic transition words like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore', the logical progression within paragraphs is weak. For example, the transition from discussing noise pollution to the need for peace in old age is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. Improving the use of cohesive devices and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, unified focus would enhance the overall structure.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'big cities', 'good', and 'peaceful'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choice, such as 'gen's are getting in the big cities' and 'natural of trees'. Some words are used incorrectly, such as 'shifted' instead of 'moved' or 'relocated'. To reach a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations, while also paying closer attention to word forms and usage.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'there no such beautiful natural of trees' is grammatically incorrect. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors, such as 'government should gave permission'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of tenses before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
