Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, concret jungles are expending day by day due to high demand of homes to live. But due to to increasing numbers of residential buildings in urban areas, the space to construct new homes is not enough and it is planning to build new homes in rural area. Some people are of the view that countryside should be protect residential construction. I totally agree with the statement.
To start with, people from cities go to countryside to spend spare time with their family and friends as places far from cities have calm and clean environment. If government build tall buildings in villages also, the value of villages would be compromise. In addition to this, interruption in villages of city people can be a disturbance for local people and affect their life directly as with people traffic conjestion, pollution and sound pollution will also increased.
Moreover, land is used for commercial, residencial and for farming basically and farming is the only way for provide food to all the human beings. In case of expending building to village areas, the fram land would be decreased which in turn affect the production of grain and vegetables. The economy may also start declining. To one relavent example is china , where the government turn the farm land into commercial areas and now they are facing problem to product enough food for their citizens. They have to depend of lab food products or on non- veg only.
In conclusion, countryside areas and more homes to live are ecqually important but there can be solutions such as vertical construction.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of protecting the countryside. The main ideas—preserving the environment for recreation and protecting agricultural land—are relevant. However, the development is somewhat limited. The example regarding China is a bit vague and lacks sufficient detail to fully support the argument about food production. While the task is addressed, the ideas could be extended further with more nuanced reasoning or specific, well-explained examples to reach a higher band. The conclusion introduces a new idea (vertical construction) that was not previously discussed, which is a minor structural weakness.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To start with,' 'In addition to this,' and 'Moreover,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'To one relavent example is china.' The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, which helps the overall readability of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but shows some limitations. There are several spelling errors, such as 'expending' (expanding), 'residencial' (residential), 'ecqually' (equally), and 'relavent' (relevant). Additionally, there are some awkward collocations like 'concret jungles' and 'lab food products.' While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'residential construction' and 'vertical construction,' the frequent spelling and word-choice errors occasionally impede the flow of the text. A wider range of vocabulary would be needed to achieve a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('the value of villages would be compromise'), article usage ('in rural area'), and prepositional errors ('depend of lab food'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent and occur in both simple and complex sentences. To improve, the student should focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb forms and pluralization.
