Student answer (Band 6.0)
Growing population needs more housing and spaces in which limited space creates a huge problem for people to make units in countryside and some individuals believes it is crucial to save countryside rather than using for more building more houses. I do not agree with this statement. I will discuss it further in upcoming paragraphs.
With this increasing number of families, there is massive need for more living space. Whereas with no space left in urban areas people are gradually shifting to rural area for big area for construction. Making residential in rural area will create a big impact on growth of those area with less facilities and it will create a lot of opportunities as well. There would be growth of Schools and market which will lead to good education and employment prospect. Rural are have very less population and with increase of citizens, there would be high chance of adapting each other's good habits and lifestyle which will create a positive impact on people.
To reduce damaging the countryside area there are numerous solution available. Building accommodation in rural community with total awareness like occupying empty space without cutting off trees and disturbing nature can be a good step. Moreover, maintaining clean environment and adapting their community moral and getting indulge in there style will not harm the environment and there emotions as well.
To conclude, I would say that there is no harm building more houses in rural location, whereas it will create a huge impact on country's growth and future. People will get to know each other with a lot of future opportunity, different lifestyle and facilities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against protecting the countryside at the expense of housing needs. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention economic growth and education as benefits of rural development, these points are not fully extended with concrete examples or deeper analysis. The suggestion to build with 'total awareness' is a good start but remains vague. To reach a higher band, focus on providing more specific, real-world examples of how rural development has successfully integrated with nature or improved local economies, rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover' and 'To conclude,' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel abrupt. For instance, the jump from discussing housing to 'adapting each other's good habits' in the second paragraph lacks a smooth logical bridge. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence clearly follows from the previous one will help improve the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'residential,' 'opportunities,' and 'accommodation.' However, there is a reliance on basic or repetitive phrasing, such as 'big impact' and 'good step.' There are also some minor collocation errors, such as 'Rural are have very less population' (should be 'Rural areas have a very small population'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations to express your ideas with greater sophistication and nuance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('some individuals believes') and article usage ('in rural area'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'the only space available for building them is in the countryside.' While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and pluralization will significantly improve your score.
