Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this rapidly changing world, it is undoubtedly true that the rural areas are being demolished day by day due to building new homes there. However, masses argue that it is essential to protect the farmland and not build homes there anymore. I believe that both the prospective are true and I will talk about in my upcoming paragraphs with me reasons, which will lead to a logical conclusion.

To commence with, there are adequate evidence of this view, which is sustainable. The top-notch concrete reason is the environment if people continuously develop the village areas with new buildings, it could be lead to serious issues. Such as, no more land for farming and green areas will also be destroyed. However, the number of increasing population needs more housing as well. Thus, authorities should found a way so that they can protect the countryside areas and found new locations where there is no concern for building more housing .

On the other hand, there is only space in the rustic areas, if they would like to develop the areas for more housing. They should need to protects first green areas like for farming and for grow up trees. So that individuals have fresh air and can save earth. Focus to build more apartments this will consume less land and hold many units in it. Therefore, on roof on roof take very few lands and it is easy to protect the rest lands then no need to destroy countryside.

To conclude, I reiterate that there are plenty of strong factors supporting that saving rural areas is crucial for the future, if we don't have land for farming and more green land it could be convert into big problem. However, contrary can not be overload either.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging the conflict between housing needs and environmental protection. However, the position is somewhat ambiguous; you state that both perspectives are true, but the development of these ideas is limited. While you mention the need for housing and the importance of farmland, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize your opinion. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a clear, well-supported argument that directly answers the 'what is your opinion' aspect of the prompt with more detailed reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To commence with' and 'On the other hand'. Some transitions are awkward, for example, 'I will talk about in my upcoming paragraphs with me reasons'. The progression of ideas is sometimes disjointed, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between environmental concerns and population growth is abrupt. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'demolished day by day', 'top-notch concrete reason', and 'grow up trees'. You rely on basic vocabulary, and some phrases are repetitive or unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations that sound natural in an essay context. Avoid informal phrasing and ensure that your word choices accurately reflect the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'there are adequate evidence', 'it could be lead to', 'authorities should found a way', and 'on roof on roof take very few lands'. Subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency are recurring issues. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like article usage and verb forms will be beneficial.
