Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the topic, the arguments are underdeveloped. For instance, you mention noise pollution and privacy as reasons for moving to the countryside, but these points lack depth and specific examples. Furthermore, the conclusion is abrupt and does not fully synthesize your position. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by abrupt transitions and sentence-level errors. While you use some cohesive devices like 'moreover' and 'in conclusion', the connection between ideas is sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, the transition between the need for housing and the need for wildlife protection is quite sudden. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs needs to be more cohesive to guide the reader effectively through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'erect new houses' and 'quiet environment'. There are also some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'make reservation' (likely meaning 'preserve') and 'quench hunger' (which is idiomatic but used incorrectly here). To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to urban planning and environmental conservation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('one of the major reason', 'the need... have pose'), missing articles, and punctuation errors. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. For instance, 'It is becoming a trend in recent years, where so many individual now erect...' contains multiple errors. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles to improve your accuracy.
