Student answer (Band 5.0)

Recent era of generation, country's population is increasing rapidly, cities are full of huge buildings, shopping malls, and residential buildings. Therefore, people are now building news home in country side. while some people argue that protect our natural world by avoid building new home in country side is more important. This essay will discuss the different plots with relevant examples with my point of view.

One and foremost, as per the recent calculation. publicity has been rapidly increased in past few years. and the only place available to build new houses in country side. but people are worried if they build new homes in country side, natural world will be destroy completely. I believe society should think about this first if they save natural world of country side which is beneficial for them. as nature provides fresh air and it also reduces global warming. Nevertheless, trees and forest protect us in floods and earthworms. For example, The biggest floods came in Surat 2008, it was clear to see the majority lose in city side rather than villages. as building and homes were broken. Resulting villagers did not face much lose in that compares to city people.

Another major reason why I support not to build new homes in country side is that saving our natural tradition for live simple lives. as every people need a break from their daily life routine someday. if they have an village in country side they can go there and take a break from their stressful life and just relax there. People have benefits to not build homes in country side by leave that place empty without any contractions.

In my opinion, people should not build new homes in country side, as they provides us afresh air, and helps to reduce global warming. I believe every human being supports this view to save our natural world.

To conclude, places are full of residential buildings, shopping malls and hotels in city side there are no left places to build a new homes. but I strongly believe people should not build new homes in country side by replacing forest and trees in to huge buildings.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against building in the countryside. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you provide a personal perspective, the arguments—such as the mention of 'earthworms' and the specific example of the Surat floods—are somewhat tangential or lack clear logical connection to the core issue of housing shortages. The essay would benefit from more focused arguments regarding urban planning or sustainable development. The position is maintained throughout, but the supporting points are not fully extended or consistently relevant to the central debate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'One and foremost' is not a standard phrase, and the transition between sentences is frequently disrupted by incorrect punctuation, such as starting sentences with 'and' or 'but' in a way that fragments the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the progression of ideas within paragraphs feels disjointed, making it difficult to follow the logical development of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'huge buildings' and 'natural world' throughout the text. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'publicity has been rapidly increased' (likely meaning population) and 'without any contractions' (likely meaning constructions). These errors occasionally impede clarity. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to urban development and environmental conservation, and ensure you are using words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are persistent issues with sentence structure, such as sentence fragments ('as building and homes were broken') and incorrect verb forms ('they provides us afresh air'). Punctuation is also problematic, with many sentences ending prematurely or using periods where commas would be more appropriate. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation to improve your accuracy.
