TASK-II

These days, requirement of new houses has been increasing considerably especially in urban areas. To build new houses only rural areas has the space. However, a section of society thinks that countryside should be protected and new construction should be permitted. I believe that housing is the need of hour, but the rural area should not be disturbed.

Building houses in countryside is not a good option as it may disturb the natural habitat. Animals would be directly affected by such type of actions, as rural areas often have more greenary and plants which is a home to birds and animals. Noise, air and water pollution not only harm the environment, but also make the animals' life difficult living there. For instance, various plants and trees are cut down in order to build the houses. However, those trees oftenly have nest for the birds and a home for other animals.

Another factor to consider is that building new houses will not solve the problem of housing. In order to protect the countryside and giving shelter to the people a new approach is required. A mutual approach by public and government could be a better steps for the society and environment.

The life of people who are living in countryside area also get disturb by the urbanization because people live a sustainable life there. They do not practice such thing which cause harm to environment. Even there culture could be erased due to this development.

Undoubtedly, the requirement for new houses has to be filled, but not on the destruction of other species. I firmly believe that houses should be built at such places where is no harm to the local people and the ecosystem, and countryside should be preserve for future and for the betterment of locals living there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against building in the countryside. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention environmental concerns and the need for alternative approaches, the arguments remain quite general. For instance, you suggest a 'mutual approach by public and government' but do not elaborate on what this might look like (e.g., urban renewal or high-density housing). To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by more specific, concrete examples or deeper analysis of the consequences. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of argumentation needs further expansion to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'However,' 'For instance,' and 'Another factor to consider,' which helps the flow of ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'They do not practice such thing which cause harm to environment.' Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence. The progression of ideas is generally logical, moving from environmental impact to alternative solutions and cultural preservation.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'urbanization,' 'sustainable,' 'ecosystem,' and 'destruction.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'requirement of new houses' (should be 'demand for'), 'oftenly' (incorrect adverb form), and 'at such places where is no harm' (awkward phrasing). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that word forms are used correctly in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the' countryside), subject-verb agreement ('rural area should not be disturbed'), and pluralization ('their culture' vs 'there culture'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are slightly awkward due to these persistent errors. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically regarding articles and verb forms. Increasing the variety of complex structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
