Student answer (Band 5.5)
Well, it is undeniable that accomodation plays a pivotal role in everyones life. On that note, at many areas, new abode are required, however the there is no place to build a new building at cityside area, so it moves toward countryside. Many people think it secure villageside and not build new abodes in that vicinity. In my opionion, there are many advantages of this notion, I still prefer to protect countryside area.
There are multitudinous reasons behind that, the first and foremost is that. It creates more air and noise pollution. In other words, more buildings and more poppulation creates a lot of noise of construction and cutting down tree reduce air quality of the village area. The another reason behind this is, it harms the flaura and fauna of the countryside. To be more precise, this is the place for animals and plants, where animals can live freely without any fear. For example, animals can not live freely in town, countryside area people can do farming with farm animals and earn good amount of revenew.
Moreover, it damage natural area of country side by removing natural place with buildings and homes. Apart from that, it snach away peace of people. As new construction, more poppulation, and more destruction of nature so it it detrimental for natural area. Therefore, new buildings and abode should be not build in countryside area.
To recapitulate, there are some pros of this notion such as it benefits the people to get more abode in natural places, I believe it ruin the natural area, increase pollution, and detrimental for plants and animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by presenting a clear position that the countryside should be protected from new housing developments. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed, which restricts the depth of the discussion. For instance, the writer mentions that building in rural areas causes air and noise pollution and harms flora and fauna, but these points are supported with repetitive statements rather than well-extended explanations or specific external examples. While the overall stance is maintained throughout the essay, the arguments lean towards generalisations, and the conclusion slightly contradicts itself by mentioning pros of the notion while ultimately reiterating a preference for protection. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to provide fully developed ideas with robust supporting arguments rather than relying on brief, repetitive points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some basic organisation, utilizing paragraphing to separate the introduction, body points, and conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the logical flow is frequently hindered by awkward transitions and repetitive statements. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'On that note,' 'The another reason,' and 'Apart from that.' Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact progression of the argument. Additionally, sentences within paragraphs can feel disjointed. To improve in this area, the writer should focus on creating a smoother logical progression between sentences and paragraphs, using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'pivotal,' 'multitudinous,' and 'detrimental,' but these attempts are frequently marred by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'accomodation' (accommodation), 'abode' used incorrectly as a plural noun without proper markers, 'cityside area,' 'villageside,' 'opionion,' 'poppulation,' 'flaura,' 'revenew,' and 'snach.' These errors and misspellings cause some difficulty for the reader and impede smooth communication at times. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their vocabulary range and improve accuracy in spelling, word forms, and collocations so that less common lexical items are used precisely and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is quite limited, consisting primarily of simple sentences and repetitive attempts at complex structures that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that cause difficulty for the reader, including problems with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'more buildings and more poppulation creates'), missing articles (e.g., 'reduce air quality of the village area'), awkward prepositional phrases, and run-on structures. For example, sentences like 'To be more precise, this is the place for animals and plants, where animals can live freely without any fear' show a lack of control over complex clause integration. To progress, the writer needs to demonstrate a greater variety of grammatical structures and significantly improve grammatical accuracy by reducing basic errors in agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
