Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is no doubt that homes are the one of the basic need of human being . Some people agree that it is crucial to preserve rural region and not constructing new houses there.I am strongly agree with this statement.
To begin with , there are various reasons to agree with this statement. The primary one could be , imbalnces lifestyle.. To explain it , as rural areas are less populated and it means less pollution occurs and air quality is good here as compared to crowded , polluted cities. For example,a survey was conducterd by world health organization in 2019 that individuals who live in villages live a good quality of life as compared to cities. In other words, construction of new houses imbalances their lifestyle and quality of their life.
The secondary one could be,construction of new houses put a great effect on environment. To elaborate it, for building new homes requires land and individuals have to cut trees to build homes , which leads to deforstation. In this case, it may leads to increase the rate of flooods, drought becuase of limited or less amount of rainfall. Also, the inhabitant of small animals and insects destroyed which may increase the amount on endangered species. In short, building homes in rural regions, put a negative effect on eco system.
In conclusion, we can say that making new buildings will imbalance lifestyle and effect environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that countryside should be protected, and you give two relevant reasons—effects on residents’ quality of life and environmental damage. The examples about pollution, tree removal, flooding and wildlife help address the question. However, the reasons are only partly developed: the survey is mentioned without explaining its findings in detail, and the links between building homes and changes to rural lifestyles or rainfall are asserted rather than fully supported. The conclusion repeats your view but does not add a developed final point. The response also falls short of the required minimum length, so there is limited space to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation or a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “To begin with” and “The secondary one,” and a conclusion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to identify. Some linking is effective, such as “For example” and “In short,” but the progression within paragraphs is occasionally mechanical or unclear. For instance, “imbalances lifestyle” is not explained before the paragraph moves to pollution, and “In this case” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to flooding and drought. Punctuation spacing also interrupts the flow. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each explanation directly to its supporting example; vary linking phrases and make references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “rural areas,” “air quality,” “deforestation,” “endangered species” and “ecosystem,” which allows you to discuss both social and environmental effects. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “To elaborate it.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to interpret, notably “imbalances lifestyle,” “put a great effect,” and “the inhabitant of small animals.” Spelling errors such as “imblances,” “deforstation” and “flooods” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural collocations for this topic and check spelling carefully; precise wording will make your ideas clearer without requiring more complex vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “as rural areas are less populated” and a relative clause in “which leads to deforestation.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “homes are the one of the basic need,” “I am strongly agree,” and “construction of new houses put a great effect.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries, as in “it may leads” and the run-on construction after “good here.” Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and punctuate each complete sentence clearly. Aim to make your complex sentences reliable before adding further complexity.
