Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is true that more buildings are constructed in these days due to more population. Although new house are built necessary for living quality of life, i believe that people and high authorities need to save countryside rather than establishing new house,

On the one hand, there are several reasons why new homes are essential. First and the foremost, due to more population, regimes need to build new house so people can live better lifestyle. To explain, if there are number of spaces in houses they can live their life according to their interest as they can buy their favourite paintings to hang out and plant flowers and they can divide their own room so they enjoy their personal space. In aDdition to it, most of the people migrate toward cities to get better facilities such as education, health system and transportation therefore government decide to make set up industries in countryside so people can live their family.

On the other hand, i believe that authorities should preserve countryside area due to more reasons. First and the foremost, when people protect the countryside area to build new house, it is more beneficial for children because childrens can play in enough vacant spaces which helps them for their growth. However, if governement should not protect free space it put adverse impact on their flora and fauna because of the low oxygen rate and animals can lost their habitant. Apart from it, it helps to youth touch with their routes because where they are born so they can easily experience their culture and religion.

To conclude, while it is necessary to establish new house for living quality of life, i believe that it should be preserve for people and environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is identifiable: you ultimately argue that protecting the countryside should take priority, while acknowledging that homes are needed. You also give relevant reasons, including space for children and the effects on wildlife. However, the response only partly develops the task. The paragraph supporting new homes shifts to industries and migration, and the link between these points and building homes specifically in the countryside is not fully explained. The claims about oxygen, children’s growth, and cultural roots are also asserted rather than supported with clear examples or explanation. To strengthen the response, state your position more directly in the introduction and develop each main reason with a specific example and a clear connection to the question.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The use of signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the broad structure. Within paragraphs, however, progression is sometimes uneven. For example, the first body paragraph moves from house space to migration, facilities, and industries without clearly connecting each point. Some linking phrases, including “First and the foremost” and “Apart from it,” are repetitive or do not make the relationship between ideas precise. Pronouns such as “it” in “it put adverse impact” also have unclear references. Organise each paragraph around one central reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “countryside,” “flora and fauna,” “facilities,” and “personal space,” so the reader can understand the main subject and your general ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “more population,” “live their family,” “lost their habitant,” and “touch with their routes.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “governement” and “childrens.” Aim to learn vocabulary in natural phrases rather than translating word by word: for instance, use “population growth,” “live with their families,” and “natural habitat.” More precise terms for environmental effects and housing demand would help you express your arguments clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “if.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and verb forms can make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Although new house are built necessary” has an incorrect clause structure and agreement, while “if governement should not protect free space it put adverse impact” combines an unsuitable conditional form with an unclear verb pattern. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly the lowercase “i” and the comma ending the introduction. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly formed supporting clause, then check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
