Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, as population is increasing the needs of homes are also increasing. Some believes that there is no space in towns, new buildings should be developed in rural area. While other believe that the countryside should be free from new construction. In my view point, the countryside should be free from the chaos of construction and development.
The life in villages is calm and peaceful. The people over there live a simple life. They spent most of there time in farming. They are the backbone of any nation as they help to produce the food. In contradictory life in cites is fast. Everyone runs for money over there. There is construction evrywhere, as a result there is lots of polution everywhere.
Villages is the home for flora and fauna.Plant inhales carbon dioxide and realses oxygen, If the villages also starts getting development, there will be no space of plant and animal to survive. For instance on an average the current AQI of town is arround 50 while campare to it the the AQI in countryside is only 12. So we can clearly see the differnces in both.
We should find some solutauion to utilize each and every corner of urban areas. For example we should try to delelop high story buildings everywhere, so that we cam maximize the use of every land.
To conclute, we should save the villages from development as it helps in maintaining the life cycles. We should find alternative plan of development in towns and cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the countryside should be protected from construction, and the conclusion restates this view. You address the main issue and give relevant reasons, including the countryside’s role in food production and as a habitat for plants and animals. The AQI comparison is also an attempt to support your argument with an example. However, some points are asserted rather than explained: for instance, the claim that village development would leave no space for wildlife needs a clearer link to the scale or effects of building. The suggestion to build high-rise homes in cities is relevant, but could be developed by explaining how this would meet housing demand. More specific support and fuller development would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, moving from your opinion to reasons, a proposed alternative, and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally have distinct purposes, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “For example,” and “To conclude” help signal the progression. This gives the reader a coherent route through your argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. “In contradictory” does not form a clear contrast, and the relationship between the AQI figures and the claim about protecting villages could be explained more explicitly. There are also abrupt transitions between ideas within paragraphs. To improve, use accurate contrast and cause-and-effect links, and make each paragraph’s reasoning progress step by step rather than relying mainly on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “backbone,” “flora and fauna,” “carbon dioxide,” and “alternative plan,” so the main ideas are understandable. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make the expression less precise: “polution,” “realses,” “high story buildings,” and “find some solutauion” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “the needs of homes” and “the chaos of construction.” These choices can make the reader pause, even when the intended meaning is recoverable. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling carefully; aim for natural combinations such as “housing demand,” “high-rise buildings,” and “protect natural habitats.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “If the villages also starts getting development…” and a result clause introduced by “as a result.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur often enough to affect fluency. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “Some believes” and “Villages is,” incorrect verb forms in “They spent most of there time,” and sentence-boundary and punctuation problems in “Plant inhales carbon dioxide and realses oxygen, If…”. Articles and plural forms also need attention. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly matched verb, then review punctuation and clause boundaries. More accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
