Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemrary society , it is a debatable topic that new housed need to be buit and spaces are available in country side but some people argue that it is important to protect countryside area. I firmly agre that countryside area should be protected for fields and forests due to several compelling reasons.

To commence with, one of the most significant reason is protecting nature and natural life. Most land is taken by government ot build factoires and buildings which leads to extinction of forest and natural habitat of animals whch are living there. For instance, Many species of animals and birds have not safe place to live as human beings had cleared many countryside places to build homes and build cities.

Secondly, it would put countryside life at risk as those were rely on fields . If land would taken for new homes how they will manage thier life without lands, To examplify it , many people in villages are doing farming for generations and depend on it for income sources and food and many people even do not have other job for survival .Hence , building new homes can be risky for the life of village people.

I have also believe that that countryside and should not be used for new residential area but government need to tackle with this problem of housing , and make a decision which would be fair for people of countryside and consider a solution regarding making new homes for people who are in cities.

In conclusion ,decision regarding building new homes in countryside would be favourable for the people livev in village and natural habitat and animals therefore, government need to take action which would provide benefits to countryside people as well as give a solution to build new house space.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you agree that the countryside should be protected, and you give relevant reasons concerning wildlife and village livelihoods. The examples of animals losing habitats and farming families depending on land help address the question. However, the discussion is unevenly developed. The first reason is explained through habitat loss, while the second is asserted more than explored; explain more precisely how housing development would affect farmers and whether this applies to all countryside communities. The final paragraph introduces the need for government to find housing solutions, but does not identify a practical alternative or weigh the competing need for homes. Developing that balance would make your response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two reason paragraphs, a further point about government action, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with” and “Secondly” make the main progression easy to follow, and the conclusion returns to your central position. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the clearer progression associated with a stronger performance. However, links can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “those were rely on fields” does not clearly identify who “those” refers to. The government point also sits somewhat separately from the two supporting reasons. Use more precise referencing and connect each paragraph’s point explicitly to your overall argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “natural habitat,” “extinction,” “income sources,” and “residential area.” These choices show an effort to go beyond very basic language. However, the range is not consistently controlled: phrases such as “countryside area,” “new housed,” and “other job for survival” are inaccurate or unnatural, and spelling errors such as “contemrary,” “buit,” and “factoires” are noticeable. Some wording also makes the intended meaning less precise, particularly “countryside life at risk.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for housing, conservation, and farming, and proofread spelling. More precise phrasing would help you express your relevant ideas clearly and naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, such as the sentence beginning “Most land is taken by government” and the conditional question “If land would taken for new homes how they will manage their life.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur in examples such as “one of the most significant reason,” “those were rely,” and “If land would taken.” Punctuation also needs attention: several sentences run together, and commas are used where a full stop or clearer clause structure is needed. Practise forming accurate conditionals and checking subject–verb agreement; clearer sentence boundaries will make your meaning easier to follow.
