Student answer (Band 5.0)
City had full of apartment building and no land left to make another house. Only countryside has some land available where we can make building. I agree that we need to protect our country side because of its nature. If we do that, We must lost our beautiful areas.
All the people around the world moved to city side because of the facilities. City give lot of opportunities as well as job sector, health care, educational quality and happliy life. for this reason everyone want to go cityside. It is continously happend day by day. For example, in Dhaka there were lot of buildings available and now there are no free space to build a new house. For this reason, more people live in a single flat which makes the city over crowded. If it happens, Dhaka will face a massaive problem.
On the other hand, rural area is the most beautiful part for a country. Everyone want to enjoy their moment in a village. As Govt should take some responsibilities to protect rural area. Farmland gives us food and so may valuable things that must needed for a nation. It maintain economical balance of every nation. It should be protected by every single person of a country. But people don't aware about keep their countryside safe.
If we can solve all the problem of our city life, we would be lead a happy life. Government should take some necessery steps to solve this problem. They need to limit the people living in the cities. This step could help the both town and village people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is identifiable: you agree that countryside should be protected, and you give relevant reasons, including its natural beauty and the importance of farmland for food. The Dhaka example also helps illustrate pressure on urban housing. However, the response only partially develops the question of how to balance the need for new homes with protecting rural land. The final suggestion to limit the number of people living in cities is not explained or shown to be practical, and the claim that solving city problems would lead to a happy life is vague. Develop a clearer argument about alternatives, such as building more efficiently within cities, and explain how this could reduce pressure on the countryside.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for urban growth, the value of rural areas, and possible action. Linking phrases such as “For this reason” and “On the other hand” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven: the opening repeats the situation before stating your view, and the final paragraph introduces limiting city populations without connecting this proposal clearly to the earlier discussion. Some links are also mechanical or unclear, as in “If we do that, We must lost our beautiful areas.” Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and support it; use references such as “this pressure” or “such development” to make connections more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “countryside,” “farmland,” “opportunities,” and “over crowded,” so the reader can follow the main subject. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “economical balance” and “educational quality.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret, for example “happliy life,” “massaive problem,” and “people don't aware.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “city side” and “valuable things.” Build a more accurate set of expressions for housing and land use, and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “If it happens, Dhaka will face…” and a relative clause in “Farmland gives us food…that must needed for a nation.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to make some ideas harder to understand. For example, “City had full of apartment building” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “It maintain economical balance” has an agreement error and “we would be lead” uses an incorrect verb form. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Also check capitalisation after full stops and use consistent tense within each example.
