Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain that you want international experience and cultural learning, describe how current project work could be covered, and ask your manager for help and a reference. The purpose is clear throughout, and the details about completed financial reports and a colleague taking over show relevant planning. However, the reasons for choosing the head office and the proposed work arrangement are only partly developed. For example, you do not explain what duties you would undertake there or how your responsibilities would be managed over the full six months. Adding specific benefits to the company and a clearer handover or remote-work plan would make the request more fully supported and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: it introduces the request, gives reasons, explains the current project situation, and ends by asking for assistance. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and transitions such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “Furthermore” make the relationships between ideas easy to follow. The progression is generally coherent, though some linking feels mechanical, and the first two sentences repeat the idea of working abroad at the head office. The connection between completed reports and the colleague’s future responsibilities could also be made more explicit. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each paragraph more directly to the six-month arrangement to create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for a formal workplace request, and phrases such as “international experience,” “career growth,” and “necessary documentation” communicate the main ideas. You also use relevant work-related terms, including “financial reports” and “client’s project.” However, some choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “another reports,” “get this job” for an internal placement, and “my reference” when asking a manager for support. “Main branch” may also be less precise than “head office.” Aim for more accurate collocations and a consistently professional tone; this would make the letter sound more fluent and precise while retaining its clear meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple sentences and some longer structures, including “I will be very grateful if I get this job” and the sentence explaining the project and your completed reports. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors are present. For example, “It will also beneficial” is missing “be,” and “my job was to prepare financial reports which I have already made” shifts awkwardly between past and present perfect. In “my co-worker will handle another reports,” the determiner and plural noun do not agree. The final sentence also needs clearer punctuation around “and I promise.” Practise accurate verb forms, agreement, and sentence boundaries, while varying structures beyond repeated short statements.
