Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You establish the purpose of the letter by asking to work at the head office, and you give a relevant reason: gaining experience and developing communication, management and problem-solving skills. However, the task is addressed only minimally because the explanation of how your work could continue while you are away is missing. The request for help with arrangements is also vague: “provide me with arangments and permisssiom letter” does not specify what support you need from your manager. Develop all three points explicitly—for example, explain how you would handle your current duties remotely or arrange cover, and ask the manager to discuss approval and practical arrangements with you. The formal closing is appropriate, but the letter needs fuller task-specific content.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The letter has a recognisable structure: it opens with the request, uses paragraphs to separate points, and ends with a polite closing. Sequencing words such as “Firstly” and “In addition” help signal movement between ideas. However, there is no clear overall progression because the central point about how your work would be managed during the six months is absent, and the second and third paragraphs repeat the request for approval rather than advancing the message. Some links are also awkward, as in “The reason for this request is that to work in head office improve my experience.” Organise the body around the three required points, using each paragraph to add distinct information and clear links between it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of formal expressions suited to a workplace letter, including “I would be grateful,” “application,” and “further information.” The vocabulary communicates the general purpose, but repetition of “request,” “help,” and “application” limits variety and precision. Several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts less clear, particularly “give me a chance to do work,” “grant my application,” and the misspellings “arangments,” “permisssiom,” and “neccessary.” Choose more natural workplace phrases, such as “request a temporary transfer” and “discuss the arrangements,” and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for remote duties or handover arrangements would also help you explain the practical side of your proposal.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer conditional or subordinate structures, such as “I would be grateful to you if you could help me” and “Please let me know if you need any further information from me.” These show some ability to form complex sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors occur in important sentence patterns: “request you to accept my application for give me a chance” has an incorrect verb construction, while “to work in head office improve my experience” has a subject–verb agreement problem and an incomplete article pattern. The sentence beginning “The reason for this request is that to work…” is also structurally faulty. Practise accurate infinitive and that-clause constructions, and use articles consistently, for example, “work at the head office would improve my experience.”
