Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining the reason for the request, describing how work will be managed, and asking for assistance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the reasons for wanting to work in the head office are quite generic, and the explanation of how work will be managed lacks specific detail regarding how you will handle time zone differences or team collaboration. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are more fully extended and supported with specific, professional details that demonstrate a clear understanding of the workplace context.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your request. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'First and foremost' and 'Apart from this,' to link your ideas. However, the use of punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods, which makes the flow feel a bit mechanical. Additionally, some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'Since , I will be away six month long.' Improving your control over punctuation and using a wider variety of linking words would help your ideas flow more naturally and improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, using terms like 'procrastinate,' 'remotely,' and 'international company.' However, there are several instances of word choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'join in person work' instead of 'work in person' and 'good salary package' which is slightly informal. There are also some spelling and grammatical slips, such as 'work their' instead of 'work there.' To improve, focus on using more precise professional collocations and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for a formal business letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
Your writing shows a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'I hope this message find you well' (subject-verb agreement), 'As i am working... since long time' (tense usage), and missing articles or incorrect prepositions throughout. The punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after punctuation marks, are a recurring issue. To move up, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage for duration, and proofreading for basic punctuation and capitalization errors.
