Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining the reason for the request, proposing a handover plan, and asking for assistance. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention wanting to gain international experience, you could have elaborated more on how this specific head office role would benefit your current professional growth or the company's long-term goals. The plan for your workload is clear, but the request for help is slightly generic. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but more depth in the explanation would elevate the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'However', and 'In addition' to link your ideas. However, some of these transitions are used slightly inaccurately; for instance, 'However' is used to introduce a solution rather than a contrast. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used to show the correct logical relationship between ideas would improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for this task, using terms like 'vacancy', 'financial management', and 'prestigious opportunity'. There are, however, several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'bring in your notice' (should be 'bring to your attention'), 'vacancy been advertise' (should be 'vacancy advertised'), and 'how finances being deal' (should be 'how finances are dealt with'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more precise control over collocations and grammatical structures related to vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'spend approximately 2.5 years in this' (missing subject 'I have'), 'how they accurately managed' (missing auxiliary verb 'are'), and 'do more better' (incorrect comparative form). These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of passive voice, and ensuring that auxiliary verbs are included in your complex sentence constructions.
