Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points, but the development is insufficient. While you explain your motivation and mention how your work will be managed, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack professional detail. Furthermore, the response is 145 words long, failing to meet the 150-word minimum requirement. This under-length significantly impacts the overall task achievement, as the instructions were not fully satisfied. To improve, you should expand on your professional contributions and provide more specific details regarding the handover process or the nature of the work to be performed in the head office.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the logical flow between sentences is often disjointed. You rely on basic transitions like 'The most prominent reason' and 'I have update', but the connection between ideas is sometimes weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited, and the overall progression of the letter feels a bit mechanical. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally functional but limited and repetitive. You use basic phrases such as 'I am writing to express my interest' and 'wonderful opportunities'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'applied transfer application' (should be 'applied for a transfer') and 'without skip my job' (should be 'without interrupting my work'). To reach a higher band, you need to use more precise professional terminology and demonstrate a better grasp of collocations appropriate for a formal business letter.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('I have update'), missing articles ('software designer position'), and incorrect verb forms ('help me to gaining'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. The punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I'). To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring consistent verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and capitalization.
