Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the reason for the request, the plan for remote work, and the request for assistance. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding the 'financial condition' is slightly abrupt and lacks professional context, which is important for a formal request to a manager. While the purpose is clear, the tone fluctuates between professional and overly personal. To improve, you should focus on expanding the benefits to the company rather than focusing on personal financial needs, as this would make the request more persuasive and appropriate for a workplace setting.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your request. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between the reason for the trip and the remote work plan is abrupt. There is a reliance on simple sentence structures, and the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition to this'). The paragraphing is sufficient, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs more sophisticated signposting to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. However, there is a lack of variety and some instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'getting here back from you' instead of 'hearing back from you'. You rely on basic vocabulary like 'good', 'work', and 'knowledge'. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more topic-specific collocations related to professional development and international business, such as 'professional growth', 'cross-cultural collaboration', or 'operational continuity'. Spelling errors like 'Wittring' also detract from the overall quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have frequent errors with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, such as 'i am working at a Mohali office' (should be 'in'), 'everyone know' (should be 'knows'), and 'i will also went' (should be 'go'). Additionally, there are persistent issues with capitalization, specifically the lowercase 'i' used throughout the text. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical rules and verb consistency would significantly improve your writing.
