Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points of the task: explaining the reason for the request, proposing a plan for your workload, and asking for the manager's assistance. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention 'business tactics' and 'revenue', these points are vague. To improve, you should provide more specific examples of what you hope to learn or contribute. Additionally, the request for help in the final paragraph is slightly unclear; it is better to explicitly ask the manager to support your application or facilitate the transfer process rather than asking them to 'recommend my name for training'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a specific part of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'Since', which help the reader follow your argument. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. For example, the second paragraph is a bit dense; breaking it into two sentences or using more varied linking phrases would improve the readability. The referencing is generally clear, and the overall structure is appropriate for a formal business letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'show my express of interest' is non-standard; 'express my interest' would be correct. 'Huge in size and number' is a bit simplistic for a professional context. You also have some minor spelling errors like 'effeciently' and 'addtion'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise professional collocations and ensure you proofread for spelling slips. Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate your intent clearly, but it lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'the main office is huge... and also busier, it will give' is a comma splice. You also have issues with article usage and prepositional phrases, such as 'on various occasion' (should be 'occasions') and 'for longer time' (should be 'for a longer time'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and punctuation will help improve your accuracy.
