Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly explain the motivation for the transfer, outline a plan for your current duties, and request assistance with logistics. The tone is appropriate for a formal business request. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the explanation of how your work will be covered is a bit generic. To reach a higher band, provide more specific details about the handover process or the nature of the projects your assistant will handle. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the requirements are fully met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the request, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Plus' to link ideas. However, the transition between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some referencing is slightly unclear (e.g., 'USA has offered six months period'). Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the flow and cohesion of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using professional terms such as 'formally', 'transfer', and 'professional norms'. However, there are several spelling errors ('intrested', 'curent', 'oraganization', 'curial', 'enviornment') and some awkward word choices, such as 'It would be thankful' instead of 'I would be grateful'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider grasp of common business collocations. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise professional terminology would improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'Since, I have started working' (incorrect comma usage and tense), 'I assured you' (should be 'I assure you'), and 'whenever he needed me' (tense inconsistency). Additionally, there are minor errors with articles, such as 'in main the branch'. While these errors are frequent, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage in formal correspondence.
