Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining the reason for the request, proposing a plan for your current workload, and asking for assistance with the logistics. The tone is appropriate for a professional letter to a manager. However, the development of ideas is somewhat brief. For instance, the explanation of how your work will be managed while you are away is a bit vague; providing more specific details on how you plan to hand over tasks or manage the transition would have strengthened the response. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the requirements are met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'in addition to that' and 'while I am away,' which help the flow of ideas. However, the transition between sentences can sometimes feel a bit mechanical or abrupt. For example, the jump from discussing the project to mentioning your desire to gain experience could be smoother. The use of referencing is generally clear, and the paragraphing is appropriate for a formal letter, ensuring the reader can follow your request easily.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use professional terms like 'temporary assignment,' 'internal employee,' and 'transferring procedure.' There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'interest to work' (should be 'interest in working') and 'I saw in company's website page' (should be 'I saw on the company's website'). While the vocabulary is adequate for the task, it lacks the variety and precision that would elevate it to a higher band. The errors do not impede communication, but they are noticeable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('in head office,' 'in company's website') and verb tenses ('I completed my important tasks' should be 'I will have completed' or 'I plan to complete'). Additionally, there are some punctuation and preposition errors, such as 'help me for transferring' (should be 'help me with the transfer'). While these errors are frequent, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your request. To improve, focus on article usage and ensuring your verb tenses accurately reflect future plans.
