Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly state the purpose of the request, explain how your workload will be managed, and ask for the manager's assistance. The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of how your work will be covered is a bit vague, stating only that colleagues will do it without specifying a handover process or a clear plan. To improve, provide more concrete details about the transition of your responsibilities to demonstrate professional foresight.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized with clear paragraphing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Additionally', and 'Therefore' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by grammatical errors, such as in the sentence 'When I will away from my workplace, all my responsibilities has been done my colleagues'. Improving the variety and natural placement of linking words would enhance the overall flow of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'diverse cultural background', 'in-depth knowledge', and 'professional skills'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'shifting in a new work placement' instead of 'transferring to a new position' and 'do my colleagues' instead of 'be handled by my colleagues'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the vocabulary from reaching a higher band. Focus on learning common business collocations to sound more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. For instance, 'When I will away' should be 'When I am away', and 'responsibilities has been done my colleagues' is grammatically incorrect and lacks a passive construction. Additionally, 'request them to allows me' contains a subject-verb agreement error. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading, particularly regarding verb tenses and subject-verb agreement.
