You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter

• explain why you want to work in the company's head office for six months
• say how your work could be done while you are away
• ask for his/her help in arranging it

Dear Manager,

I am writing to request an opportunity to spend six months working at company's head office to another country. I believe this experience would be highly beneficial for the company as well as my professional growth.

The major reason is to gain the international experience and learn more about company's global operations. I would particularly like to work closely with senior colleagues and gain an understanding of how different departments coordinate their activities. I believe the knowledge and skills I gain could be valuable when i return to my current office.

while I am away, I would ensure that my current duties and responsibilities not affected. I could complete some of the responsibility remotely and some instruction would be provide to my colleague who could handle tasks that requires my presence.

I would be greatful if you could help me to arrange this temporary transfer and advise me about the necessary procedures. I would be happy to discuss the proposal at your convenience.
