You work for an international company, and would like to spend six months working in its head office in another country. Write a letter to your manager. In your letter

• explain why you want to work in the company's head office for six months
• say how your work could be done while you are away
• ask for his/her help in arranging it

Dear Sir/ madam,

I am writing this to request you for an opportunity to work in our company's head office in Florida.

This experience would be greatly beneficial for my professional development. Working alongside colleagues in our head office would allow me to gain understanding of company' international operations and learn new procedures and culture. I could also bring these ideas in our company to work effectively in our future projects.

While I am away, I believe my responsibilities could be performed remotely. I could have access of emails and available for video meetings as required. If there is need of my physical presence, I will prepare a detailed handover and train a colleague temporarily for looking over the tasks.

I would be grateful if you could help me arrange the temporary transfer and discuss the possibility with the head office. I would be happy to provide any further information or make the necessary arrangements.
