Dear Bhambhoo,
I am writing this to request you for arranging my work at head office in Canada for next financial year's first six months.
As a sales head my team is suffering from the quality of training. All the sales associates in India are getting complaints from users that they do not have the proper knowledge about our new product Electral. Because of this ongoing problem i have to visit head office to get a proper training.
While I am away assistant sales head Madhuj will lead the team and we both came on a agreement that whenever he needs any kind of help I will try to help him remotely.
First and foremost, please approve my request on workday app. Secondily, please arrange me an one bedroom apartment with kitchen because I like to cook by myself.
Please look into the matter and do the needful I will be thankful to you.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response successfully covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You explain your motivation for wanting to work at the head office by stating that your sales team in India is struggling with training and product knowledge regarding 'Electral'. You also address how your work will be handled while you are away, noting that the assistant sales head, Madhuj, will lead the team and that you will provide remote support. Finally, you ask for your manager's help in arranging the transfer and logistics, such as approval on the Workday app and accommodation. The tone is semi-formal, which is generally appropriate for a manager, though parts of it verge on informal or overly direct. All parts of the task are adequately addressed, earning a solid band score.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a clear logical organization with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing specific points, and a standard sign-off. Paragraphing is used to separate distinct ideas, such as your reasons for the visit, coverage arrangements, and logistical requests. However, some cohesive devices are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'First and foremost' followed immediately by 'Secondily', which contains a spelling error. Referencing is mostly clear, though transitions between sentences could flow more smoothly. Overall progression is apparent, making the letter easy to follow despite minor structural flaws.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms like 'financial year', 'ongoing problem', and 'remotely'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation issues. For example, writing 'request you for arranging my work' is unnatural, and 'came on a agreement' should be 'reached an agreement'. Furthermore, 'do the needful' is heavily influenced by regional business idioms and sounds unnatural in standard international English. Spelling is generally fine, with the exception of 'Secondily' (secondly), but vocabulary limitations and unnatural phrasing cap your lexical score at this level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response features a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety. There are, however, several grammatical errors and punctuation lapses. For instance, missing commas after introductory phrases (e.g., 'As a sales head my team...') and incorrect preposition usage (e.g., 'arrange me an one bedroom apartment' instead of 'arrange a one-bedroom apartment for me'). Additionally, there are capitalization errors like starting 'i' in lowercase. While these errors do not impede overall communication, their frequency prevents the attainment of a higher band.
