The skills you used to teach have enabled us to work in this company with dedication. Now, I have received an email from company's head office, as they are offering employees to visit and work in head office for six month. I find it a best opportunity for me to get exposure of foreign country like UK. I have visited UK once when I was young. Now it's an exciting news for me that head office have sent a list of people whom they want to invite, which includes my name too.

My work here at this office can be managed by my colleague named Sara, she is

such a hardworking and punctual woman. I would manage my tasks online and the task or documents that will need my proper attention. I will proof read them on email on priority basis. This opportunity can add the tremendous experience and skills to my resume. It will be really helpful for my professional growth.

It will be huge favor if you help me in acheiving this opportunity. I am waiting for your prompt response.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response successfully covers all three bullet points required by the task prompt. You clearly explain your motivation for wanting to work in the UK head office, noting that you received an official invitation email and view it as a great chance for professional growth. You also address how your work will be covered during your absence by mentioning your colleague Sara and explaining that you will manage urgent tasks and proofread documents online. Finally, you explicitly ask for your manager Waseem's help in arranging the opportunity, writing, 'It will be huge favor if you help me in acheiving this opportunity.' The tone is generally appropriate for a formal business context, though some informal elements slip through. Ideas are relevant and fully extended, meeting the criteria for a Band 6.5 to 7.0 range, solidifying a band score of 6.5 due to slight under-development in the work-coverage explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement with a logical progression of ideas from greeting to purpose, details, and conclusion. However, paragraphing is somewhat weak, as the entire middle section is lumped into one large paragraph rather than being divided into distinct thematic blocks for each prompt requirement. Cohesive devices are used adequately, such as 'Now, I have received...' and 'My work here...', but referencing and linking can occasionally feel mechanical or repetitive ('You has always been...', 'You has pushed me...'). Paragraph breaks are missing where logical shifts occur. Despite these structural flaws, the progression of your thoughts remains clear and easy to follow throughout, justifying a band score of 6.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'professional growth opportunities', 'priority basis', and 'tremendous experience'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors, such as 'surving this company' instead of 'serving', 'get a chance to enhanced' instead of 'enhance', and 'huge favor' instead of 'a huge favor'. Spelling errors like 'acheiving' instead of 'achieving' also occur. While these lexical errors do not impede communication, they restrict the score to a Band 6.0. To reach a higher band, focus on precise collocations and ensure careful proofreading of common functional vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over grammar. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement and auxiliary verbs, such as 'manager, you has always been' (should be 'you have always been') and 'head office have sent' (should be 'has sent'). Punctuation and capitalization errors are also present, including missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'offered by company and I want to avail that.I have...'). Complex structures are attempted, but they often contain minor inaccuracies. These errors occur frequently enough to prevent the response from achieving a Band 6.5, making a band score of 6.0 an accurate reflection of your current grammatical control.
