Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain that the head-office placement would improve your skills and build a professional network, outline training colleagues and staying in contact, and ask your manager for guidance with approval and travel arrangements. The purpose of the letter is clear and relevant. However, the reasons for choosing the head office are only briefly stated, and the plan for dividing responsibilities would be stronger if you explained who could take over key duties or how you would ensure continuity. The request for help is also somewhat broad. To strengthen the response, develop these points with a little more specific detail while keeping the polite, appropriate tone already established.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: it introduces the request, explains how work could continue, and then asks for assistance before closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish these functions, and linking expressions such as “However” and “Furthermore” signal movement between ideas. Some connections are less smooth, though: “However” suggests a contrast that is not clearly established, while the long sentence about training colleagues, staying in touch, and receiving updates combines several actions without clear separation. The final request also moves quickly from guidance to approval, travel, and accommodation. Use more precise transitions and divide related points into shorter, clearly connected sentences to make the progression more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant workplace vocabulary, including “Head Office,” “responsibility,” “approval process,” and “temporary accommodation,” and the reader can understand the main message. There is some attempt at more specific language, such as “divide the responsibility” and “daily update,” but several spelling errors and awkward word combinations reduce accuracy and polish. Examples include “proffessonal network,” “distrubtion,” and “travel logistis”; “build a professional network that could benefit the local branch” would also express the intended benefit more naturally. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for workplace requests. This would make your vocabulary more precise and professional without requiring unnecessarily complex words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, some grammatical errors affect accuracy, particularly in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “I hope this letter find you well” needs subject–verb agreement, and “I am writing this letter to spend six months” does not express the intended request accurately. In “I will train a members,” the article and plural form do not agree; the long sentence beginning “during the period of away” also needs clearer grammatical structure and punctuation. Practise forming polite request sentences and check agreement and verb patterns. Breaking the longest sentence into two or three complete sentences would improve control.
