Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the three main points: you explain that you want to develop skills and English, describe working online from London, and ask your manager to contact HR and give permission. However, the reasons are only briefly stated, and the work-cover plan is unclear: “my friend will be do report to you” does not explain what your friend would do or how your own duties would be managed. The request for help is present but could be more specific and professionally framed. The response is also 13 words below the required minimum, so there is limited space to develop these points. Add detail about the benefits to the company and a clear, practical handover plan.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable sequence: purpose, reasons, work arrangements, and a request. This gives it some overall organisation, and the paragraphs broadly separate the main ideas. However, progression within sentences is often difficult to follow, particularly in the second paragraph, where several reasons are joined together without clear links. The work-arrangement paragraph also combines your friend’s role and your online work without explaining how they relate. Use clearer sentence boundaries and linking phrases such as “In addition” or “To ensure continuity,” and organise each paragraph around one main point. A conventional closing would also make the letter feel more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic purpose, with relevant terms such as “head office,” “career,” “online,” and “permission.” However, the range is limited, and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make the letter less natural, including “learn new skill,” “do who big company work,” and “support of this.” Spelling errors such as “woory,” “arr age” (written as “arrage”), and “responds” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise workplace expressions, for example, “develop my professional skills,” “gain experience at the head office,” and “arrange this temporary transfer.” Proofreading these choices would make your meaning clearer and the tone more appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with limited control when ideas are combined into longer sentences. Errors occur frequently in verb forms and sentence construction: “I want to ask you to working” should use “to work,” and “my friend will be do report” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. There are also problems with agreement and articles, as in “he know all thing,” and the final sentence, “I looking forward yor responds as soon,” is incomplete. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then connect them with a small range of subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, agreement, and sentence endings.
