Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain that the seminars in Canada would develop your programming skills, describe how colleagues could share your workload, and ask your manager for help with visa arrangements and expenses. These details make the request relevant and understandable. However, the reason for choosing a six-month placement is not fully explained, and the proposed work-sharing plan is brief: you say colleagues will split tasks according to their expertise but do not explain how you would coordinate or maintain your responsibilities. The request for an allowance is also quite direct and could be framed more tactfully. Develop these points and make the six-month benefit clearer to strengthen the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce your request, explain how the work could be covered, and close by asking for a response. Paragraphing helps distinguish the purpose of the placement from the workload plan, and phrases such as “Other than that” and “but do not worry” guide the reader through your points. To make the progression more polished, connect the training benefit more explicitly to the company’s needs, and use clearer transitions between the visa request, financial support, and work arrangements. Some sentences run together, particularly the long paragraph beginning “I am writting this letter,” so separating related requests into shorter sentences would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant workplace vocabulary, including “head office,” “programming skill seminars,” “visa application,” and “travel expenses,” so the main ideas are generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “according to their expertise.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “new types of computer programming skill seminars,” “on company expense,” and “give me some allowence.” Spelling errors such as “writting,” “arranngements,” and “appriciate” are noticeable and reduce the overall accuracy. Aim for natural professional phrases and check spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more precise and appropriate for a formal request.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “I know you may concerned about my workload” and the sentence explaining that colleagues will split the work. The reader can usually understand your meaning, but some grammatical errors occur across the letter. Examples include the missing article in “I am employee,” the verb form in “seminars will going to be conducted,” and the clause “I know you may concerned,” which needs an auxiliary verb. There are also issues with sentence boundaries and punctuation, especially where “as well.please” joins separate sentences. Review articles, auxiliary verbs, and verb patterns, and proofread punctuation to improve control while retaining your attempts at longer structures.
