Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You explain that you want to gain experience and learn more about the company, and you mention that you could relocate temporarily to Germany. You also ask your manager for help obtaining an invitation letter and a joining letter. However, the central point about how your work would be done while you are away is not addressed: relocating and having relatives nearby explain your personal arrangements, not how your duties would be covered or completed. The request is also focused on documents from the head office rather than clearly asking your manager to arrange the six-month placement. These omissions leave the task only partially addressed. To strengthen the letter, explain a practical work plan, such as remote duties, a handover, or temporary cover, and make a direct request for the manager’s support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: you introduce your wish to work at the head office, describe your ability to relocate, and then ask for assistance. This gives the reader a basic sense of the purpose, and phrases such as “I need some help from your side” signal a move to the request. However, the progression is not consistently clear. The paragraph about your visa and relatives does not connect the relocation details to how your work would continue, and “No doubt” introduces a general claim without developing it. The final paragraph combines the agent’s advice, required documents, and the request without clearly separating them. Use paragraphs for the three task points and link each idea explicitly to the proposed arrangement.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the main purpose, including “head office,” “half year,” “visa,” and “invitation letter.” There are also attempts to express ideas beyond simple requests, such as “make my plan successful.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, which can make the message less clear or professional. For example, “gain more experiance” repeats the same idea, “family relations” is not the natural phrase for relatives, and “documents for our company” is vague in this context. Spelling errors such as “experiance” and “arrangments” are noticeable. Aim for precise workplace language and check spelling; for instance, describe the professional benefit and specify the documents you need.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response uses mostly simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to join ideas using “but,” “if,” and “and.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent and errors occur frequently. Examples include “I am writing this email for work,” “I talk with my relatives,” and “he said me to collect,” where verb patterns or tense forms are incorrect. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “for half year” and the long final sentence beginning “so, i need.” Capitalisation of “I” and punctuation also need attention. Practise accurate past and present forms, common verb patterns such as “told me to,” and shorter, clearly punctuated sentences before adding more complex structures.
