Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the United Kingdom particular areas, where 'curfew' is being enforced by officials. Therefore, teenagers are not allowed to leave their home specially after evening without any companion. I think this the good decision for safety of teenagers. I would like to describe my point of views in the ensuing paragraphs.
To begin with, curfew is imposed for public safety. The streets can be dangerous at late night so young people are more vulnerable to becoming victims of crime or accidents when unsupervised. By requiring them to be home early, curfew protects them from these late night crimes. Some time officials need to put some restrictions on public to protect them from danger also with these actions they are giving signals of alertness for public safety.
Moreover, it is necessary that child is always being supervised by parents all the time specially when its dark outside. Mostly crimes occur at night so for child safety it is good to be with adult. This for certain period of times when goverment need

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 171 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the final paragraph is incomplete and the overall argument lacks the depth required for a full response. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting points are underdeveloped. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words by expanding on your examples and providing a more thorough conclusion. Currently, the response is too brief to fully address all parts of the task, resulting in a lower score for task achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'To begin with' and 'Moreover'. The progression of ideas is hindered by the abrupt ending of the essay, which lacks a concluding summary. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases to connect your sentences and paragraphs more fluidly. Additionally, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your ideas are fully developed before moving on to the next point.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good decision' and 'dangerous', which are functional but not sophisticated. There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'signals of alertness' and 'particular areas', which sound slightly unnatural. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to social policy and safety. Expanding your range of synonyms and using more precise adjectives will help convey your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include missing articles ('the government', 'a child'), incorrect verb forms ('child is always being supervised'), and punctuation errors. These errors occasionally make the text difficult to follow, although they do not completely impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Practising the construction of complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions will also help you demonstrate a wider grammatical range and improve the overall accuracy of your writing.
