Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 211 words long. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you have attempted to address the prompt by stating your opinion, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack specific examples or logical depth. For instance, you mention the 'risk of life' and 'emergency' situations, but these points are not expanded upon to create a persuasive argument. To improve, you must ensure you meet the length requirement and provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your position, rather than relying on general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is often unclear. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt, and some sentences, such as 'The prime is risk of their life', lack clarity. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To start with' and 'In conclusion', the overall flow is mechanical. The connection between the idea of 'rights' and the 'curfew' in the conclusion is confusing and does not follow logically from the previous paragraphs. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will enhance coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'implimenting' instead of 'implementing' and 'curfes' instead of 'curfews'. The phrasing is often unnatural, such as 'on behalf of it' or 'lead clear some specific rights'. You rely on basic vocabulary, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary. For example, instead of saying 'not a good idea', you could use 'an ineffective measure' or 'a controversial policy'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('curfew are implimenting', 'curfew are imposed'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, such as 'US is one of them; where a curfes is imposed, Moreover, Children are not permitted...'. The lack of control over basic punctuation and sentence boundaries makes the text difficult to follow at times. You should focus on mastering simple sentence structures before attempting more complex ones, and pay close attention to verb tenses and pluralization to reduce the frequency of errors.
