Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many places of America the curfew is implemented as a result the young persons are not allowed to go outside after a certain time at night unless they are accompanied by old person. I think this is great idea. The very first point I like this point is safety. If teenagers are staying at home at night then it will increase safety of the Youth. The survey conducted by The Hindu says that 90% of the crime are happened on the night time with adults. As a result it will increase the safe environment for the society. Secondly, If they are staying home at night , they spend more time with their family which ultimately makes a good bond with their family .Additionally they utilize their proper time , in this mean time they can do a lot of activities like reading books, playing chess and investing some in good things.
Thirdly, in case they are going outside they are accompanied by their old one, as a result they don't fall in bad habits because they are with their family .They will not do illegal activities such as going to pubs ,drinking alcohols with friends .Consequently, some time they are doing overspeeding which results in rise of accident cases. For instance, the study is conducted on the accident cases which are happened on night time are more by teenagers .To summerize this, If teenagers are staying at home on the night then it will benefacial for the youth as well as for the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion in favor of curfews. The ideas are relevant, focusing on safety, family bonding, and the prevention of negative habits. However, the development is somewhat limited; the points are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being fully explored with depth. For instance, the mention of 'The Hindu' survey is a good attempt at support, but the explanation of how these curfews specifically reduce crime is a bit generic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced arguments and ensure the link between the curfew and the positive outcomes is more thoroughly explained.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'The very first point', 'Secondly', and 'Additionally' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing. For example, the transition between the discussion of family bonding and the shift to 'illegal activities' is abrupt. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the phrase 'in this mean time', which does not clearly refer back to a previous idea. More varied and sophisticated linking words would improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on simple terms like 'great idea', 'good bond', and 'bad habits'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'old person' (instead of 'adult' or 'guardian') and 'the crime are happened' (which is grammatically incorrect and uses imprecise vocabulary). While the meaning is clear, the range is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic expressions that would demonstrate a more sophisticated command of the language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('90% of the crime are happened'), article usage ('the curfew', 'the night time'), and awkward phrasing ('in this mean time'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would be highly beneficial.
