Student answer (Band 5.0)

Where everyone is enjoying there freedom where some places on earth are unsafe for some genders and age groups. let's talking about an area in Usa where till in today's time teenagers are not allowed to go outside by their own. However, if they need to go outside they need to be under supervision by some adult person. In my opinion, Supervision is a good thing but in this time restriction on teenagers freedom is a barrier for their grow. We will discuss the problem and solution in this essay.

Quarantine is not a solution in developed country in today's era for teenagers. Firstly, taking freedom away from collegian is like restrict their will power and at this age mostly people are exploring the world by their own. Secondly, at young age they wanted to hangout with their friends till midnight. Similarly, they want to play outside by their own without any supervision. Hence, at this stage of their life they wanted to explore the world by their own and they get courage to something in this age.

Similarly, If you restrict younger child after certain time in home which feels like having a bird behind the bars. under supervision person will restrict him self and might be a chance that his development might restrict. in this today's secured world if we restric any gender or age group is like a unfair treatment. Apart from it, it is a good thing for young person so, they are in control and they spend their time with their parents and have bond with them. moreover, they will not going to do any drugs and can save their life. ergo, birds without wings can not fly but they will never leave you.

In recapitulate above said points, freedom is good for exploration and courage but restriction is good for bonding and learning.in m

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the curfew, but the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you present both sides of the argument, the essay lacks a clear, sustained position. The introduction mentions discussing 'the problem and solution,' but the essay focuses on the pros and cons of the curfew rather than proposing solutions. Some points, such as the comparison to 'birds behind bars,' are metaphorical rather than analytical, which limits the depth of your argument. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-supported point that directly answers the prompt's question about your opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often disrupted by awkward phrasing and confusing transitions. While you use cohesive devices like 'Firstly,' 'Secondly,' and 'Moreover,' they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately, such as using 'Similarly' to introduce a contrasting point. The conclusion is incomplete and lacks a clear summary of your stance. To improve, focus on using transition words that accurately reflect the relationship between your ideas and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that links back to your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often imprecise. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'collegian' to refer to teenagers, 'quarantine' to describe a curfew, and 'ergo' used incorrectly in context. The repetition of phrases like 'by their own' and 'explore the world' suggests a restricted range of vocabulary. To reach a higher band, you should work on using more precise terminology related to social issues and avoid repeating the same phrases. Focus on learning collocations and using vocabulary that is appropriate for a formal essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'teenagers are not allowed to go outside by their own'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they will not going to do'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect prepositions.
