Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is no denying the fact that the phenomenon of curfew is ubiquitous across the globe, due to its paramount importance. One school of thought opine that in few places of US a curfew is imposed for kids and they are not allowed to be out doors after certain time unless an adult permit. I strongly accord with the aforementioned statement and for reasons for my inclinations are articulated in the trail paragraphs.
Commencing with the best possible reason is that teenagers have to wake up early in the morning for school. To explain it , In USA certain cities have curfew like after 10 pm children are not allowed to out doors because they have to go to school in early. If they sleep late and wake up early in the morning it will impact on their study as we as their health. For instance, USA authorities did curfew for teenagers that after 10 pm they do not have to out doors due to they have to wake early. Just because IN USA they stregt about students and kids for their safety and health. That stands as a paragon. Thus some areas in USA did curfew to kids.
Another reason that support my point is that safety for teenagers. In USA some cities have to much crime. This is because some cities enemployment is high and people do things like soot people for money and geednap teenagers and asked for money from their parents. To cite an example, In USA few places that did curfew just because they heard so many crime in that cities for money and take children asking for money from their parents. It is a very bad influence to kids if they heard that type of news so thats why they did curfew on that cities. That stands as an epitome. Therefore, some cities in usa did curfew in night time.
On the close scrutiny, I conclude that in this topic Usa did curfew on certain places just because teenagers safety and their health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by stating a clear position in favor of curfews. However, the development of ideas is limited and repetitive. The arguments regarding school performance and safety are relevant but lack depth, relying on generalized statements about 'USA authorities' rather than specific, well-articulated examples. The conclusion is brief and does not synthesize the arguments effectively. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments, providing more nuanced reasoning rather than repeating the same points about safety and health in every paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often hindered by repetitive phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the use of 'In USA' at the start of multiple sentences creates a disjointed flow. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often misused or repetitive, such as 'That stands as a paragon' and 'That stands as an epitome,' which do not fit the context naturally. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will significantly improve the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'soot people' (likely meaning 'shoot'), 'geednap' (kidnap), and 'stregt' (strict). The phrase 'trail paragraphs' is also an incorrect usage. While you attempt to use some more sophisticated vocabulary, the inaccuracies often impede the clarity of your message. To improve, focus on mastering common collocations and ensuring that the words you choose are used in the correct context. Proofreading for spelling errors is also essential.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the reader's understanding. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'One school of thought opine'), incorrect preposition usage, and missing articles (e.g., 'in few places of US'). Many sentences are poorly constructed, such as 'USA authorities did curfew for teenagers,' which lacks the necessary grammatical structure to be clear. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before nouns.
