Student answer (Band 5.0)
In few regions in area of US, a 'curfew' is established, in which teenagers are strictly restricted not to be out of doors after a specific time at night until they have a company with any adults. I believe that this is a good action for the teenagers because they stay at their house rather than hang out with someone at night which is waste of time and also due the inclination in crime rates in US, teenagers may have danger at night. For more clarifications, i can discuss my perspectives in upcoming paragraphs.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 109 words. Because the essay is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence, it fails to address the task requirements adequately. While you have stated a position, the ideas are not developed, and the essay lacks the necessary structure to provide a balanced or thorough argument. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide fully developed paragraphs that explore your reasons with specific examples. Currently, the response is too brief to demonstrate the ability to develop a coherent argument.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is incomplete, which makes it difficult to assess the overall progression of ideas. While there is an attempt at an introduction and a transition into a body paragraph, the text ends abruptly. The use of cohesive devices is limited, and the logical flow is interrupted by the unfinished nature of the writing. To achieve a higher band, you need to ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that ideas are linked logically using a variety of cohesive devices such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast'.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choice, such as 'have a company with any adults' instead of 'are accompanied by an adult' and 'due the inclination in crime rates' instead of 'due to the rise in crime rates'. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas clearly. You should focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to convey your points effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('in area of US'), verb forms ('to imposed'), and sentence structure. The sentence construction is often clumsy, such as 'teenagers are strictly restricted not to be out of doors'. These errors, combined with the incomplete sentences, make the text difficult to follow. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of prepositions. Practicing complex sentence structures will also help improve your range and accuracy.
